Gibbs, Frederick Waymouth, C.B. 1858, Q.C., M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1846, fellow 1845, tutor to the Prince of Wales 1852-8, went the Northern circuit, author of Les Hospices de Paris et de Londres, a student of Lincoln's Inn 12 Nov., 1844 (then aged 23), called to the bar 28 Jan., 1848, Q.C. 24 March, 1880, bencher 11 Jan., 1882 (only son of Samuel Newcomen Gibbs, of Plymouth, Devon); born , 1821.
