Haig, James, M.A., Trin. Coll., Dublin, 1840, science medallist 1833, contested Middlesex 1859 and Lambeth 1865, author of Symbolism and Philosophy, or the Science of Truth, a student of Lincoln's Inn 21 Nov., 1834, called to the bar 30 Jan., 1838 (3rd son of Robert Haig, Esq., of Roebuck, co. Dublin); born 8 March, 1813; married 18 March, 1848, Helen Jane, dau. of Capt. Michael Edwin Fell, and has issue (see Foster's Our Noble and Gentle Families).
