Heyward, John Heyward, B.A., Oriel Coll., Oxon, 1846, hon. col. royal Montgomery militia (4th battalion South Wales borderers) since 1879, J.P. cos. Cardigan and Montgomery, high sheriff 1861, assumed the surname of Heyward in lieu of his patronymic Jenkyns, a student of Lincoln's Inn 2 June, 1846 (then aged 22), called to the bar 24 April, 1851 (only son of Rev. John Jenkyns, of Crosswood, co. Montgomery); born , 1824.
