Hobhouse, Henry, M.A., Balliol Coll., Oxon, 1878, author of Parliamentary Elections {Corrupt and Illegal Practices) Act 1883, which he assisted in drafting, joint author of Outline of Local Government and Local Taxation, a student of Lincoln's Inn 5 May, 1877 (then aged 23), called to the bar 9 June, 1880 (only son of Henry Hobhouse, Esq., late of Hadspen, dec.); born 1 March, 1854; married 12 Oct., 1880, Margaret Heyworth, 7th dau. of Richard Potter, Esq., of Standish House, co. Gloucester (see Foster's Baronetage).
