Hopkinson, Alfred, M.A., B.C.L. (fellow) Univ. Coll., Oxon, sometime of Lincoln Coll., Oxon, B.A. London Univ. 1870 and a member of Convocation, joint professor of jurisprudence and law Victoria Univ. (Owens' Coll.), Manchester since 1875, goes the Northern circuit, a student of Lincoln's Inn 22 Oct., 1870 (then aged 19), called to the bar 7 June, 1873 (2nd son of John Hopkinson, of Manchester, mechanical engineer); born ⁠, 1851.
