Stockport since 1874, member of Council of Legal Education, educated at King's Coll., London, goes the Northern circuit, joint author of Registration Cases, a student of the Middle Temple 2 Nov., 1850, called to the bar 6 June, 1853, Q.C. 9 Feb., 1874, bencher 28 Jan., 1876 (5th son of John Stephen Spindler Hopwood, of Chancery Lane, London); born 1829.
