Hughes, Thomas Raffles, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1881, scholarship 1878, a member of the Northern circuit, a student of Lincoln's Inn 26 April, 1876 (then aged 19), called to the bar 9 June, 1880 (eldest son of Edward Hughes, of Huyton, co. Lanc., contractor); born 28 Jan., 1856; married 25 Sept., 1883, Alice Edith, 2nd dau. of late George Wigg, of Liverpool and New Orleans.
