Jeaffreson, John Cordy, B.A. Pembroke Coll., Oxon, 1852, author of A Book about Lawyers, Pleasantries of English Courts and Lawyers, a Life of Robert Stephenson, and of numerous novels, a student of Lincoln's Inn 18 June, 1856 (then aged 25), called to the bar 30 April, 1859 (eldest son of William Jeaffreson, Esq., of Framlingham, Suffolk); born ⁠ Jan., 1831; married 2 Oct., 1860, Arabella Ellen, only surviving dau. of late William Eccles, Esq., F.R.C.S.
