Johnson, Henry Robert Vaughan, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1846, a conveyancing counsel of chancery division 1862–75, a commissioner of education in Wales 1846, principal secretary to Lord Campbell, lord chancellor, 1859–61, joint secretary to English and Irish Law and Chancery Commission 1861 and to the High Court of Admiralty in Ireland Commission, author of Reports of the Judgments of Vice-Chancellor Sir William Page Wood 1854–62, a student of Lincoln's Inn 26 April, 1844 (then aged 24), called to the bar 28 Jan., 1848 (3rd son of late Rev. John Johnson, LL.D., rector of Yaxham, Norfolk); born 30 Jan., 1820; married 29 July, 1862, Hon. Cecilia, 3rd dau. of John, Lord Campbell, lord high chancellor (see Foster's Peerage).
