Laing, John George, M.A. (late fellow), St. John's Coll., Camb., 1865, B.A. (second wrangler and Smith's prizeman) 1862, a student of Lincoln's Inn 21 Nov., 1863 (then aged 24), called to the bar 6 June, 1866 (2nd son of Malcolm Laing, of Upper Canada, formerly of Jamaica, dec.); born 26 Aug., 1839; married 14 May, 1868, Margaret, dau. of Alexander Macdonald, Esq., late of Johnston, Aberdeenshire.
