Lawson, William Norton, recorder of Richmond since 1869, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1858 (B.A., twenty-sixth wrangler 1854), educated at King's Coll., London, a student of Lincoln's Inn 29 April, 1853 (then aged 23), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1856 (eldest son of William Lawson, late of Bourne Place, Kent, and of London, merchant, dec.); born , 1830; married 8 May, 1856, Frances, 4th dau. of George Smurthwaite, Esq., of Temple Lodge, Richmond, Yorkshire.
