Lewis, John Curtois Adolphus, M.A., St John's Coll., Oxon, 1855, governor of H.M.'s convict prison Woking 1880-4, of Pentonville convict prison 1860-80, sometime capt. Kent artillery militia, assumed the surname of Lewis in lieu of Bones 1871, a student of Lincoln's Inn 6 Nov., 1850 (then aged 21), called to the bar 30 April, 1855 (eldest son of John Bones, Esq., of London); born , 1829.
