Maddy, Edwin Davis, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1853, first class clerk Charity Commission since 1853. private secretary to chief chanty commissioner (Sir W. R. S. V. FitzGerald) 1876-84, a student of Lincoln's Inn 2 Jan., 1849 (then aged 21), called to the bar 30 April, 1853 (eldest son of Edwin Maddy, of Lincoln's Inn, bar.-at-law); born , 1828; married 12 Jan., 1854, Alice Catherine, widow of Thomas Kay, Esq., and eldest dau. of Henry P. Fleetwood, Esq., of Woodford Park, Lancashire.
