Meynell, Edgar John, judge of county courts (circuit No. 2) since 1873, recorder of Doncaster since 1870, J.P. Durham, went the Northern circuit, a student of the Middle Temple 20 April, 1849, called to the bar 7 May, 1852 (3rd son of Thomas Meynell, Esq., of Kilvington Hall, Yorks); born 1 Feb., 1825; married 5 Aug., 1856, Maria Louisa, youngest dau. of late Richard Samuel Short, Esq., of Edlington, co. Lincoln, and has issue (see Foster's Yorkshire Collection).
