Paget, John, police magistrate at Hammersmith and Wandsworth courts since 1864, secretary to the lord chancellor 1852, J.P. Middlesex, author of The New Examen, Paradoxes and Puzzles, a student of the Middle Temple 16 Oct., 1835, called to the bar 2 Nov., 1838 (2nd son of Thomas Paget, Esq., of Humberston, co. Leic.); born 14 May, 1811; married 1 March, 1839, Elizabeth, dau. of late William Rathbone, Esq., of Greenbank, Liverpool (see Foster's Lancashire Pedigrees).
