Ripley, Sir Edward, Bart., B.A., Christ Church, Oxon, 1864, hon. col. 10th volunteer brigade northern division royal artillery since 1883, J.P. Yorkshire West Riding, a member of the Midland circuit, a student of the Inner Temple 6 May, 1864 (then aged 23), called to the bar 26 Jan., 1870 (eldest son of Sir Henry William Ripley, Bart., of Lightcliffe, Yorks); born 16 May, 1840; married 31 July, 1877, Eugenie Frederica Fulcher, dau. of Genl. Green-Emmott-Rawdon, of Rawdon, Yorks, and has issue (see Foster's Baronetage).
