Coll., Camb., 1879, from Westminster (Queen's scholar and exhibitioner), author of The Cruise of the Widgeon, Picturesque Rambles in Purbeck, The Golden Hind, etc., a student of the Inner Temple 12 April, 1876 (then aged 22), called to the bar 7 May, 1879 (eldest son of John Charles Robinson, Esq., of Newton Manor, Dorset); born 14 Oct., 1853; married 15 Jan., 1885, Jane Anna, 2nd dau. of Robert Stirke, Esq., of Grazing Nook, Bedale, Yorks.
