Samuelson, James, founder and sometime editor of The Popular Science Review and of The Quarterly Journal of Science, authorof Roumania Past and Present, The History of Drink, etc., a member of the Northern circuit, a student of the Middle Temple 18 April, 1867, called to the bar 26 Jan., 1870 (son of late Samuel Henry Samuelson, of Kingston-upon-Hull, merchant); born 20 Jan., 1829; married 13 Oct., 1853, Fanny, only dau. of Rev. W. Worsley, of Gainsborough.
