Scott, (Hon.) John, puisne judge Bombay since 1882, member of international court of appeal Egypt 1871-82, vice-president 1879-82, M.A., Pembroke Coll., Oxon, 1867, a student of the Inner Temple 29 April, 1862 (then aged 20), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1865 (3rd son of Edward Scott, of Wigan, co. Lanc., attorney-at-law); born 4 June, 1841; married 16 Feb., 1867, Edgeworth Leonora, 2nd dau. of Frederic Hill, Esq., assistant secretary of the Post Office, and of Lincoln's Inn, bar.-at-law.
