Smith, George Samuel Fereday, F.G.S., F.R.G.S., M.A., Queen's Coll., Oxon, 1837, educated at the Charterhouse and Univ. Coll., London, J.P. Sussex and Lancashire, high sheriff Kent 1884, J.P., D.L., a student of the Inner Temple 14 Nov., 1849 (then aged 37), called to the bar 7 June, 1852 (eldest son of Richard Smith, of the Priory, Dudley); born 7 May, 1812; married 5 March, 1845, Mary Jane, youngest dau. of Richard Hampson, Esq., of Manchester, and has issue.
