Smith, (Hon.) William James, puisne judge Cyprus since 1882, M.A., LL.M., Trin. Hall, Camb., 1878, B.A. 1875, a student of the Inner Temple 16 Jan., 1872 (then aged 19), went to Lincoln's Inn 19 July, 1873, where he was called to the bar 7 June, 1875 (younger son of John H. Smith, of Handsworth, co. Stafford, stockbroker); born , 1853; married 24 Sept., 1878, Ella Rosa, only child of Major Edward Herman Marsh.
