Stapleton, Hon. John, M.P. Berwick-on-Tweed 1852, 1857-9, 1868-74, went the Northern circuit, a student of Lincoln's Inn 7 June, 1833 (then aged 17), where he was called to the bar 19 Nov., 1840, admitted a barrister of the Middle Temple ad eundem 16 Aug., 1842 (5th son of Thomas Stapleton, of Carlton Hall, Yorks, dec.); born 11 April, 1816; married 26 April, 1860, Frances Dorothea, 2nd dau. of Edward Bolton King, Esq., M.P., of Chadshunt, co. Warwick, and has issue (see Foster's Peerage, B. Beaumont).
