Stapylton, Henry Downer, judge of county court co. Durham 1847-73 and formerly recorder of Durham and Hartlepool, J.P. co. Durham, a student of the Inner Temple 9 Nov., 1821, called to the bar 24 Nov., 1826 (3rd son of Martin Stapylton, née Bree, of Myton Hall, Yorks); born 15 Oct., 1802 (see Foster's Yorkshire Collection).
