Walker, John Francis, M.A., Sidney Sussex Coll., Camb., 1871, senior natural science tripos 1866, formerly lecturer in natural sciences Sidney Sussex Coll., Camb., and univ. teacher of chemistry, F.G.S., F.C.S., F.L.S., etc., author of several geological and chemical papers, a member of the North-eastern circuit, a student of the InnerTemple2 Nov., 1871 (then aged 31), called to the bar 6 June, 1874 (elder son of late John Walker, of York, gent); born 25 Nov., 1839; married 18 April, 1882, Alice, youngest dau. of Charles Cracknell, Esq., of Knoyle House, Ealing.
