Written in Russian as Современная наука и анархия in 1901 in four sections: Modern Science and Anarchism, Communism and Anarchy (Коммунизм и анархия), The State, Its Historic Role (Государство, его роль в истории), and The Modern State (Cовременное государство). Only the first section is translated here; the chapters were published in French in Les Temps Nouveaux in 1902-1903 and 1911. The Glossary is from the 1904 German edition.
