I anticipate the general result (described below) of the measurements:

The measurement results are not compatible with the fundamental assumption of Lorentz-Einstein. The equation of Abraham and that of Bucherer represent the measurement results equally well. A decision between the two latter theories by measuring the transverse mass of -rays appears to be impossible for the time being.
