Announcement of the Council for Democratic Reform
No 20
Re: Permitting committees to continue their duties

Whereas the Announcement of the Council for Democratic Reform No 3 dated 19 September 2549 BE has brought an end to the Cabinet, resulting in disbandment of the committees established by the Cabinet, Prime Minister, or responsible Ministers, save those established by virtue of legal provisions, [the Council for Democratic Reform] hereby permits the said committees to remain and continue to perform existing duties in order that their works would not be interrupted. But if the public agency which proposed the establishment of any committee finds it appropriate to abolish or change such committee, the permanent secretary to the ministry concerned shall request a ruling from the Chief of the Council for Democratic Reform. In this respect, the committees presided over by the Prime Minister shall become headed by the Chief of the Council for Democratic Reform or person authorised by the Chief of the Council for Democratic Reform, whilst the committees presided over by Deputy Prime Ministers shall become headed by Deputy Chiefs of the Council for Democratic Reform or persons authorised by Deputy Chiefs of the Council for Democratic Reform.

This Announcement shall take effect until a Cabinet is set up to undertake the public administration of the State.

Announced on the 22nd day of September 2549 BE
General Sonthi Boonyaratglin
Chief of the Council for Democratic Reform
