Section170.Upon every general election, the National Assembly shall newly appoint the Members of the Constitutional Tribunal from competent persons within thirty days reckoned from the day of opening the first session of the National Assembly.

The limit of days as said in the previous paragraph shall refer to the days during a session.

In appointing a Member of the Constitutional Tribunal according to the stipulation of the first paragraph, the House may appoint a person who has vacated a position [of Member of the Constitutional Tribunal] as a Member of the Constitutional Tribunal again.

Section171.A Member of the Constitutional Tribunal appointed by the House of People's Representatives vacates his position upon—

(1)the opening of the first session of the House of People's Representatives after a general election;

(2)death;

(3)resignation;

(4)attack by [any of] the disqualifications provided in section 90(1), (2), (3), and (4), and section 93(1), (2), and (3);
