Terms of the Supreme Court.
s. 1, c. 140, 1835.
§ 405. There shall be held three terms annually of the supreme court as follows: One term at Bismarck, commencing on the first Tuesday of February; one term at Yankton, commencing on the second Tuesday of May; and one term at Deadwood, commencing on the first Tuesday of October.
Traveling Expenses of Supreme Judges.

§ 406. The chief justice and each associate justice of the supreme court of the territory of Dakota shall be allowed and paid the sum of one thousand five hundred dollars annually, for the purpose of defraying their traveling and other expenses made necessary in holding the terms of court under the laws of the territory, and at places other than those where the district courts exercise the jurisdiction of district and circuit courts of the United States.
Territorial treasurer to pay quarterly.s. 2, c. 153, 1887.
§ 407. The territorial treasurer shall pay said annual allowances, and compensation to each of said justices in equal payments quarter-yearly, on the first days of April, July, October, and January of each year; and there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, such sum of money as a continuing appropriation, as may be necessary to make the payments required by this act.

§ 408. The first volume of reports of the decisions of the supreme court of the territory, prepared for publication by Granville G. Bennett, is hereby declared to be authentic, and shall be considered and received in all the courts of this territory as prima facie evidence of the decisions of the supreme court so far as it purports to give the same as fully and to the same extent as if their publication had been authorized and directed by specific legislative enactment under the supervision of an official reporter.
Reporter to be appointed by supreme court.s. 2, c. 56, 1879.
§ 409. The supreme court shall appoint a person of known integrity, experience and learning in the law, reporter of the decisions thereof, and said reporter shall hold his office for the term of four years, unless sooner removed by the court, who shall be deemed an officer of said court for said purpose.
Bond and oath of reporter.s. 3, c. 56, 1879.
§ 410. Said reporter shall give bond to the territory with at least two sufficient sureties to be approved by the chief justice of the supreme court, in the sum of one thousand dollars, upon condition for the faithful performance of his official duties, and shall further take and subscribe an oath or affirmation to be filed with his bond in the office of the clerk of said court, that he will support, protect, and defend the constitution of the United States
