PAROLE BOARD MEETINGS

AND COMPENSATION

AN ACT to amend and reenact section 12-59-02 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to meetings, quorum and compensation of the parole board.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF NORTH DAKOTA:

SECTION 1. AMENDMENT.) Section 12-59-02 of the 1969 Supplement to the North Dakota Century Code is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:

12-59-02. MEETINGS - QUORUM - COMPENSATION.) The board shall organize by selecting a chairman. Meetings of the board shall be held at the state penitentiary on call of the chairman as often as required to properly conduct the business of the board, but in any event not less than six times per year.

Two members shall constitute a quorum, and no action shall be taken without the concurrence of at least two members. Members shall be compensated at the rate of thirty dollars per day for each day actually and necessarily spent in the performance of their duties as board members plus the same mileage and expenses as are authorized for state officials and employees.
