  • Each title contains a hypertext link to its entry in our silent film database. There you can find additional information on each title, including studio.
  • In cases where only a fragment from one reel, trailer, outtakes or stills survive, that film is included in this list as a lost film.
  • "Incomplete" films are not included here. These comprise cases where a full reel or more survives but not the whole set of reels.
  • Our searchable database consists of approximately 11,000 titles, the 7200+ in this list of "lost" titles as well as the 3800 or so titles surviving as incomplete or complete. The full database may be searched at:
