Beginning at the intersection of U. S. Route 13, U. S. Route 301 and Int. Route 95 north of Fayetteville, thence in a southwesterly direction along Int. 95 and U. S. Route 301 to Russel Street in Fayetteville, thence northwesterly over Russel Street (U. S. Truck Route 301) to Gillespie Street, (U. S. Route 401 Business) thence in a southwesterly direction over U. S. Route 401 through Wagram to the junction of U. S. Route 401 Bypass at Laurinberg, thence over U. S. Route 401 Bypass to the intersection of N. C. Route 79, thence over N. C. Route 79 to the South Carolina Line at Gibson.

Beginning at the North Carolina State Line near Gibson, North Carolina, thence in a southwesterly direction over S. R. 79 and S. R. 383 and S. R. 9 through Cheraw, Chesterfield, Pageland, Lancaster, and Chester to the intersection of S. R. 72, thence on S. R. 72 through Whitmire, Clinton, Greenwood and Abbeville and ending at the intersection of S. R. 28 south of Abbeville.
