גלדנא, גיל׳ m. (גלד) gildana, name of a certain fish
with a thick fattty skin. Snh. 100b וכ׳ גיל׳ תנטוש לא (Ms.
M. תפשוט) do not begin to strip the gildana from its
gill, lest its skin go to ruin (a citation from Ben
Sira). B. Bath. 73b וכ׳ ג׳ ההוא that was a sea gildana
