that man saw a huge bird and called it gamla (camel),
and when he swore (that he saw a camel fy in the air),
he swore in his sense. Ib. משתבע קא. . . משתבע קא דכי
so that when he swears (that he has paid the money),
he swears to the truth in his sense (having given him
tokens, v. איסקונדרי). Ib. 32b וכ משתבענא הוה.. . אי if thou
hadst come and testified for me, I should have been
assigned an oath and received my claim; דמשתבגת יימר מי
who can say that thou wouldst have made oath? Ib.
