Just published the New Edition of MOIOnigII§ BKflOIARI OF THE §tmm min (Bn^h fitngunges, CONTjUNI.VG ALL THE WORDS IN GENERAL USE ; DESIGXATF.N-G THE Various parts of speech in both languages, With the Orthography, Accentuation, Division and plan of Pronunci- ation according to Webster^ and with the Gcnd<rs and Plurals of the German Nouns, the Division of Words into Si/ll'iblcs, the Separation of Compound Nouns by double hyphens according to their formation. Without intending any invidious c<-^nipari.-on, it may be safely stated, that this Dictionary has superior claims to many others. The arrange- ment adopted prevents the learner from being exceedingly perplexed and often misled in finding words, and in apprehending the true mean- ing. These difficulties are avoided, by giving the words in full, dividi^ig them into syllables, with proper marks of accentuation. Many words have several meanings, and unless the word is divided into syllables and accentuated, the learner is apt to misapprehend the proper signi- fication. Instances of the kind are numerous — one must suffice here : (ixHa^an^, a groiving pale, bequeathment. To determine the true mean- ing of this, and, all oth'T Avords, they are divided into syllables, and accentuated. It presents other facilities. Any one can, by reference to the key pilaced at the head of each page, learn to pronounce every word correctly — so indispensable in a colloquial knowledge of a living language. A few days' use of this Dictionary, will satisiy any person who has tried another, that this is the only reliable aid in acquiring a practical knowledge of so noble a language as the German. The book contains over 000 pages, is printed on clear white paper with distinct, good type, and tastefully bound. The undersigned will, upon the receipt of $1 50, send a copy free to any part of the U. S. jg^^" Agents wanted to canvass for this work; also for a very popular Avork noAv in press — LIFE & TIM'ES of ZWINGLI, THE REFORMER. Published and for sale at THEO. F.
