HOW TO MAKE COATS (See Fig. 43.) Or split the pattern and spread the pieces as shown in Fig. 43. If it is long waisted wrinkles

will appear cross¬ wise around the waistline. The easiest plan is to correct the pattern by laying in a pleat at the waistline of each piece. (See Fig. 44.) Be sure to make all corrections in the pattern that were made in the muslin test before cutting the mate¬ rial. All woolens or cottons must be shrunk before they are cut. Diagram,
