Aspalier. as Espallier. Asparge. as Asperge. Aspect: m. An aspect, regard, sight; the visage, or countenance.

Asperer. To sharpen, exasperate, aggrauate, make rough, churlish, angrie.

Asperge: m. The hearbe Sparage, or Sparagus; also, the young, and tender sprig, or shoot of any plant. Asperge de marais. Marsh Sparage. Asperges montagnars. Mountaine Sparagus; a kind of wild one. Asperge palustre. as Asperge de marais. Asperges pierreus. Stone Sparage, wild Sparagus. Asperge sauvage. The same.

Aspergement: m. A besprinkling; a poudering, or bepoudering.

Asperger. To besprinkle; pouder, bepouder; to sprinkle, or strew water, or dust vpon.

Asperget: m. A holy-water sprinkle.

Aspergiere: f. A bed of Sparagus. Aspergoutte: f. The hearbe Featherfew, Feuerfew, Whitewort. Aspergoutte menuë, ou mineur. Starrewort, Cudwort, Sharewort.

Aspersion: f. A besprinkling, or bedeawing; an aspersion.

Aspersoie: f. A holy-water-sprinkle made of bristles.

Asphalthe. as Bitume. Asphodile. The Daffadill, Affodill, or Asphodill flower; also, the root, or bulbes thereof.

Asphrodille. as Asphodile; or, as Aphrodille.

Aspic: m. The Serpent called, an Aspe.
