Christmas Tree.—This tree, which is known botanically as Nuytsia floribunda, received its common name from the fact that it flowers about the Christmas season. When in flower it is one of the most gorgeously dressed trees in the Western Australian bush. When in flower it is a mass of orange-coloured flowers in erect clusters. The wood of the Christmas tree, which is of no value, is soft and spongy and white in colour. The tree is usually found among the jarrah and banksias
