Nursing in other Countries 307 Superintendents of India was formed, which bent its efforts toward promoting a Trained Nurses' Asso- ciation for India which should include the native nurses as they completed their hospital training. The Nursing Journal of India was founded to aid these and all other professional purposes, under the editorship of a Johns Hopkins graduate, Etha Butcher Klosz. The question of unified teaching and well-graded professional education quickly became as burning an issue in India as elsewhere. Severely hampered by the drain of war, these home interests suffered for a while, and the Nursing Journal was suspended for a time.
