Of the several recorded instances of longevity, we shall probably not find one more abounding with extraor- dinary events than this " old, old, very old Thomas "Parr;" who for incontinence did penance at up- wards of 100; married at 102, and had children. He is thus described by Fuller:

" From head to heel, his body had all over

" A quick-set thick-set natural hairy cover."
