Dillon, Wentworth, (4th) Earl of Roscommon (s. James, earl), created D.C.L. 22 May, 1683, of the Middle Temple 1682, captain of the band of gentleman pensioners temp. Charles II., master of the horse to Josepha, Duchess of York; a celebrated poet, died 17 Jan., 1684, buried in Westminster Abbey. See Fasti, ii. 389; & D.N.B.
