Oxford by diploma 5 March, 1683-4, practiced in York 1670, and London 1683, F.R.S. 1670-1, fellow college of physicians 1687, physician in ordinary to the queen 1709, until his death 2 Feb., 1711-12, a benefactor to the Bodleian library and museum; father of Alexander.
