Radnor 1640 (L.P.), till disabled 5 Feb., 1644, and for Westminster 1661-78, sat in the parliament at Oxford, and king's secretary 1647, became secretary to Thomas, earl of Southampton, lord treasurer, and knighted 1660; died 15 Jan., 1682, aged 73.
