It will be seen from the foregoing table that the greatest number of Canadians is found in Massachusetts. The large manufacturing interests of this state have lured them across the line. Those who are there are almost wholly from the maritime provinces and Quebec. Michigan contains the next-greatest num- ber, and these are mostly from the neighboring province of* Ontario.
