VILLAS IN VARIOUS STYLES. 885 Design XV. — A Mansion, in the Style of a Scotch Baronial House of the Sixteenth Century, with the Accommodation and Arrangements suitable to a Villa of the Nineteenth Century, 1819. Construction. The walls, in this style, are invariably of stone ; the windows and doors of the principal part of the building have hewn facings, and also the chimney tops, the battlements, the cornices, and the crow-steps.
