That eminent artist, Williams, has selected six : of which fi^ 1675 IS from Rome; fig. 1676 is from Lucca; Hg. 1677 from Perugia; fig. 1678 from Flo- rence ; fig. 1679 from Zante ; and fig. 1680 Irom Corfti. Fig. 1681 shows four comironer torms ; of which e is the most complicated. Fig 1682 IS a large chimney top containing several flues, covered at their terminations with Italian tiles. It must be observed, that, as wood is the common fuel in Italy, the flues in the chimney shafts are much smaller than in Britain, as the smoke of wood ascends in far less space than that of coal, and produces verv- little ^o. importance as to render other parts iiisignificant.
