THE ARGONAUTS/OF THE AMAZON/BY/C. R. KENYON/AUTHOR OF “THE YOUNG RANCHMEN”/WITH SIX ILLUSTRATIONS/BY/ARTHUR RACKHAM/W. & R. CHAMBERS, LIMITED/LONDON AND EDINBURGH/1901.
Bound in light blue with pictorial stamping on the cover and spine in yellow and black and white, and gold lettering on cover and spine. 305 numbered pages, 5×7; also 32 pages advertisements at the back of the book. Six full-page illustrations in half-tone by Arthur Rackham. There is another binding of this book in coral-pink cloth, with the same date on the title page and the pictorial stamping; but as the first American edition was bound in blue cloth and bound from the English sheets, we feel that the blue binding was the first issue. The first issue of the blue binding has light yellow end-papers that match the yellow of the cover design, while the pink and the later blue bindings have gray end-papers. The cover design is taken from one of the illustrations in the book.

American Edition: Has the same blue binding and is the same in every way, except that it has gray end-papers and a gilt top. Published by E. P. Dutton, New York, 1901.
