Bound in green cloth with black lettering on the cover and gold lettering on the spine. 175 numbered pages, 6½×10. There is a short article about Arthur Rackham’s work and an illustration in black and white from Grimm’s Fairy Tales. Also, a bibliography at the back of the book listing fourteen books of Arthur Rackham’s to September, 1901.

Bound in red or pink cloth with blind stamping on the cover and spine, blind lettering on the cover, and gold lettering on the spine. 205 numbered pages, 4¾×7¼. Eight full-page illustrations in colour by Arthur Rackham. The book is printed on pink paper, and it is probable that the pink binding was the first issue, although the red cloth binding also has the pink paper leaves. The title page is in red and black lettering. None of the editions was dated. There were several reprints in 1905, bound in blue and various other colours, printed on white paper.
