The book has the copyright on the reverse title page, 1922, and no mention is made of its having been reprinted. Many believe that this edition with the Rackham illustrations was published in 1922, but it was not published until 1925.

Bound in blue cloth with pictorial stamping and lettering in black on the cover and gold lettering on the spine. 517 numbered pages, 6×8¼. This book is a reprint of the 1917 edition, but with all the illustrations in black and white. The 1917 edition had sixteen full-page illustrations in colour. This book has seven full-page illustrations in black and white and many small drawings in the text.

Twenty-one full-page illustrations in colour, mounted on white paper, and twenty-five drawings in black and white. There is an extra coloured plate in this edition that is not in the trade edition. This edition is limited to 520 copies, numbered and signed by the artist. Of these Numbers 1 to 260 are for sale in Great Britain and Ireland and Numbers 261 to 520 in the United States of America.
