THE BHAGAVAD-GITA.

This teaching set forth to thee is in accordance with the Sâñkhya[1]; hear it now according to the Yoga[2], imbued with which teaching, O Pârtha, thou shalt cast away the bonds of action. (39)

In this there is no loss of effort, nor is there transgression. Even a little of this knowledge[3] protects from great fear. (40)

The determinate Reason[4] is but one-pointed,

  1. One of the six systems of Indian philosophy dealing with evolution.
  2. Another of the same systems, dealing with meditation.
  3. Dharma.
  4. Buddhi.
